Turmeric Chai Latte

Turmeric Chai Latte

My cool weather morning beverage.  It’s energizing, warming, anti-inflammatory and downright delicious!  You could skip the turmeric without changing the flavor of the latte much, but you will sacrifice most of the anti-inflammatory component by doing so.

I know that coconut oil or butter might sound like weird ingredients in a beverage, but trust me.  At the very least try making it at least once or twice and let your taste buds and balanced blood sugar levels be the judge.

Any kind of date will do, but medjool dates are a personal favorite.   They really are noticeably better and more awesome than all the others.  I buy them from a health food market.

You can use any brand of chai tea, but after much experimenting, I can tell you that Tazo Chai tea is one of the highest quality and best tasting chai tea bags out there.  I buy them from a health food market of online at vitacost.com or thrivemaket.com.

Be sure to run the blender on high for a good while so things get nice and frothy.
